About Ormiston

Although much of Ormiston is now a lovely residential suburb with bay vistas and tree-lined streetscapes that are classic examples of the Redlands Coast bayside lifestyle, the region was historically an agricultural hamlet and still has flower farms.

This peaceful, slow-paced bayside neighbourhood offers a nice way of life. There are several athletic fields and areas of open space. Redlands Softball Park on Sturgeon Street has electric grills.

Shopping

The largest retail centres are in Cleveland and Alexandra Hills, and there’s the convenient neighbourhood Ormiston Shopping Village at 116 Wellington Street.

Transport

The Ormiston train station runs along the Cleveland line in the City of Redland. Transdev Queensland runs regular bus services.
