Feedback from the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) was that Participants felt the language around changing their NDIS plans was confusing.
In response, the NDIA has made a number of changes, which have now been passed by the Australian Government to improve NDIS plans for participants.
From 1 July 2022, there are now two pathways to make changes to your NDIS plan. These include:
A plan variation is typically used when changes need to be made to a certain part of your NDIS plan. This does not require the creation of a new plan.
Plan variations are a vital step to help participants access the correct type of support for their individual needs, without going through a full plan reassessment.
